Congregational Meeting & Conversation Sunday, May 14 at 9:30am
Session has called a Congregational Meeting next Sunday at 9:30am to present and vote on the slate of candidates who will comprise the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC). Congregational Conversation #3 will immediately follow the meeting, at which time we will receive the summary results of the Congregational Survey.
All are welcome to attend; only members may vote.
Congregational Assessment Tool (CAT)
Great job everyone! We had an 86% rate of completion on the Congregational Survey, which gives Holy Cow! Consulting a really good sampling of the various voices, desires and expectations of our congregation. The consultant is now working on the interpretation of the results, which will be summarized at the next Congregational Conversation on May 14 (see below).

Adult Classes @ 9:40am
Being Presbyterian: Creeds, Confessions and Polity: Presbyterians are Reformed Christians, and this makes us heirs to a particular view of the contemporary church’s relationship to its traditions. This class explores how these written and historic documents help us speak and live the gospel and be faithful witnesses in our time. (Especially for those interested in membership, but open to all) Pastor Shari, Lewis Hall
Christianity Explored: Investigate Christianity or just brush up on the basics by exploring who Jesus is, why he came and what it means to follow him. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible; you won’t be asked to read aloud, pray or sing; and, you can ask any question you want! Pastor Jesse, Howell Auditorium
The Bruised Reed: Isaiah 42:3 and Matt. 12:20 read “a bruised reed he will not break and a smoldering wick he will not quench.” What a beautiful image for how Christ always treats his people! This is true both of individuals and of the church, and also of us before and after our conversion. This class will be an in-depth exploration of these passages of scripture supplemented by a classic book of the same title. From his victorious throne we hear the risen Jesus proclaim “Behold, I am making all things new” (Rev. 21:5). In our time together we will learn about his unrelenting commitment to this promise regardless of any circumstances (past or present) in our lives. Greg Hjort, Chapel
