BIBLE ART JOURNALING CLASS

Last Chance for Intro to Bible Art Journaling Class – Registration ends February 1! Pastor Shari and Vicky Bruck, artist, lead this creative class on February 21, 7-9pm. All levels of ability welcomed. Supplies will be provided. Call the church office to register.

SAY IT WITH FLOWERS

They don’t have to be extravagant, just heartfelt! Celebrate the Lord’s provision or an anniversary or birthday with a vase of His beautiful creations for our Sanctuary. There are lots of Sundays available on our flower calendar to choose! Sign up on the bulletin board by the front door.

SOUPER BOWL OF CARING

Nationally, young people are fighting hunger and poverty in their communities around the time of the Super Bowl football game. Our Quest class (Confirmation) is joining in by collecting items to make meal kits for Union Gospel Mission and DSHS Foster Support Care Alliance. Can you help? SPECIAL PEOPLE TODAY

Special People meets today at 2:00pm to enjoy a meal and fellowship, with Dee Egerton speaking about her work with young women in Guatemala. Thanks to all our faithful and caring volunteers!

GARAGE SALE UPDATE

HELP NEEDED -Volunteers are needed to sort our donated treasures. Work hours are flexible: Join us anytime Tuesday and Wednesday between 9:00am and 12:00pm and Wednesday evening between 6:00pm and 9:00pm.

Donation Drop-Off – Sunday curbside drop-off 4:00–6:00pm for smaller sized items (no furniture at this time, please). Drive up to the clearly marked area on California Ave SW and our youth will offload your things. (NO drop-off on February 4.) On Tuesdays and Wednesdays you may also bring your donations to Howell Auditorium from 9:00am–8:00pm. Please no paint, drapes, tires, mattresses, hide-a-beds. Contact Karol karol@wspc.org before dropping off TV’s, computers, monitors, exercise equipment, or large appliances. Thank you for contributing!

WEST SIDE SENIOR FELLOWSHIP

West Side Senior Fellowship meets in Burien Friday, February 9. After dinner (optional) at Angelo’s (601 SW 153rd St.) at 6:00pm, we’ll attend Northwest Symphony Orchestra’s concert at Highline Performing Arts Center (401 S 152nd St.) at 7:30pm. Purchase the $10 concert tickets on Sunday, February 4 at the Welcome Center after Sunday School and worship service. RSVP for both dinner and concert to Sally Porter sidney.porter@comcast.net.

THURSDAY WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY

PRACTICING GOSPEL HOSPITALITY

On the first Sunday of every month, West Side will continue the celebration of the Lord’s Table with a Fellowship Meal in Howell Auditorium. All are welcomed and encouraged to join us next Sunday as we spend some time breaking bread amongst our church family. A Children’s Corner play area will offer a fun spot for kids as well!

ADULT EDUCATION CLASSES

Sundays At 9:00amGodspeed: The Pace of Being Known – What if the future of the church depends on our ability to slow down and get to know people? Godspeed looks at what happens when a Seattle city boy learns about “God’s speed” in a Scotland parish. Each session has video, Scripture, meditation, and lively group discussion. An optional Study Guide is available for $13.00. Howell Auditorium

Women’s Wednesday Evening Class – 6:30–7:45pm – Redeemed: a Tool for Sharing Your Story of Redemption (a study designed specifically for women) – Do you desire God use you to communicate His love to others? Sharing your story of God’s redemption is a powerful way to do it. Through Scripture stories, we’ll see God’s work in our own lives and then practice communicating that work to others. Our own stories will be a highlight of the journey together. A class workbook ($24) is needed; homework between sessions will deepen understanding.
