Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent. It is a day of fasting and prayer and a time when we confess the sin that entangles us. As far back as the third century, ashes were worn on the body as a visible sign of sin and a public request for forgiveness.
West Side is providing two Ash Wednesday services, the first at 8:00am and another at 12:00pm. These 30-minute services offer contemplative space for prayer, repentance, and The Imposition of Ashes. All are welcome. Nursery care will be available at the 12pm service.
