Godspeed: The Pace of Being Known (January 7-March 11)
This class asks, what if the future of the church depends on our ability to slow down and get to know people? Godspeed is an eleven-week study that begins with a story of a city boy, from Seattle, with a pocket full of sermons, who lands in Scottish parish. Together we will explore the implications of moving at Godspeed in our context. Each session interacts with video, Scripture, theological meditation, and lively group discussion. An optional Study Guide is available for $13.00.
Stations of the Cross (March 18 and 25)
Throughout history, various forms of creative expression (art, music, architecture, etc.) have been used to glorify the Lord, reflect on his creation and honor his love for his people. The Stations of the Cross are one such expression – 14 artistic depictions of things that happened to Jesus on the day he was crucified as detailed in Scripture. Hear West Side artists tell of their creative process as they contemplated how they could bring that Scripture to life for our Stations display that will be in the chapel starting March 18.
The Book of Romans (Begins April 8)
Paul’s letter to Roman Christians offers us some of the best theology in the Bible coupled with practical application of the Gospel to our hearts, relationships, social involvement and work. He covers things – grace, sin, spiritual gifts, suffering and contentment – that resonate with everyone, but especially those who want to grow in faith. More details about registration to follow.
