Frequently Asked Questions

We’re glad that you’re considering a visit to West Side!
We’ve tried to think of a number of the questions you might have regarding a visit to our church. We hope they are helpful! Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have other questions that aren’t covered below.

What kind of church are you?

When are your worship services?

When should we arrive?
For just worship, if you are able to come a bit early and meet some folks that would be great. Be sure to come 10 minutes early if you have children to check into the church time at the 10:45am. If you are able to stay for an hour after the 8:45am, or come early to second service, all ages gather for Sunday school and community time between services. You are welcome to join in!

Do you have a Nursery for my baby or preschooler?
We have a wonderful staff of people who are here to serve you and provide wonderful care for your baby so that you may enjoy the service without distraction or diversion. Toys and equipment are disinfected on a weekly basis and your children are cared for by people who have a passion for babies.

What should I wear to church?
Anything you like. We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than what you wear. Dress usually ranges from blue jeans to business suits and ties – all are welcome!

The music at 8:45am is about what you'd expect in a traditional church service - choirs, organ and hymns - but not super formal. Children are welcome and involved in this service. The music at the 10:45am is a range of contemporary musical styles - the most common feature is an emphasis on guitars or stringed instruments rather than choral and organ arrangements. Children are also welcomed at 10:45am, moving to their own 'church time' midway through the service.
