Global Missions

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations."

Matthew 28:19
Missions are a high priority at West Side. Whether it’s in our own neighborhood, or around the globe, we believe Christ calls us to make disciples of all nations. Find out more about the short-term and long-term missionaries we support:

National and International Organizations

WHEELCHAIRS FOR NIGERIA
Wheelchairs for Nigeria is a nonprofit based in Nigeria and Seattle and run by Rev. Ron Rice of West Side Presbyterian in the U.S. and, Ayuba Gufwan, in Nigeria. Gufwan, himself crippled by polio, runs the wheelchair shop in Jos, Nigeria with 65 employees. They build self-pedaled “tricycles” for some of the tens of thousands of children and adults who have spent their lives crawling on the ground. They have built and donated over 18,000 wheelchairs, far more than anyone else is doing for polio survivors in all of Nigeria. You can watch a short video at www.wheelchairsfornigeria.org.
