The church’s most valuable resource is its children! Today’s children are the church leaders of tomorrow. West Side Presbyterian Church children’s ministry is a place for children to learn and grow in a loving nurturing environment. We want to provide fun and transformative experiences where kids grow strong relationships with one another and a deep love for our God. Kids celebrate Jesus year-round, whether in Sunday School’s weekly lessons and group discussions, KIDZ Club, or summertime’s week-long Vacation Bible School.
Children’s Sunday School Classes – September-June
Our Sunday School offers classes for all ages beginning with 3 year olds (and including a nursery for infants up to 3 year olds) each Sunday morning at 9:00am. Sunday school is a place where kids and leaders learn to KNOW our loving God, GROW in vibrant faith, and SHOW God’s love to others. At West Side we have adopted a dynamic, spiritually forming and family empowered ministry philosophy. We desire to come alongside to inspire, equip and support parents as we minister to their children.
- This class will be using the TruWonder. Tru is a spiritually forming, parent-empowering curriculum that equips children, leaders and families to know Jesus and live out a vibrant lifetime.
- This class will be using TruStory Tru is a spiritually forming, parent-empowering curriculum that equips children, leaders and families to know Jesus and live out a vibrant lifetime.
- Kids explore Scripture chronologically, enabling them to see the whole Bible and how God’s Big Story connects to their own story. God is always central in the story. Lessons are focused to intentionally allow time for a worship response where kids respond to God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
See our Sunday School Staff.
In addition to Sunday School, a Children’s message is presented at the second worship service at 10:30 AM, followed by Children’s Churchtime for ages 3 to 2nd grade. ( Meets in room 4)
