SHARING OUR FAITH, Luke Crook
Evangelism normalized. As we seek to be people who love our city, we want to think about sharing our faith within the existing rhythms, relationships, and conversations of our lives. We want to take the “specialists” and stereotypes out of evangelism and move towards becoming disciples of Jesus who proclaim and talk about our faith in normal ways that are winsome to our culture. Come join 10 weeks of discussions and learnings toward this end. Howell Auditorium
THE GOSPEL-CENTERED LIFE, Greg Hjort
Is it realistic to think that the gospel can really shape every aspect of life and conduct? Colossians 1:6 says that the gospel is “continually bearing fruit and increasing” in and among us, even after we first believe it. But how does that really happen? And why do we often feel like we aren’t getting very far on that journey of growth? A continual rediscovery and application of the gospel is essential. But what does that look like? And how will our personal growth and church mission be stunted if we don’t grasp the gospel deeply? These are the questions that this study will seek to answer. Chapel
THE PARENTING JOURNEY, Stacy Kutz and Carreen Smith
It’s not about perfect behavior. It’s about passionate hearts and loving God. Can we raise kids with good character and a faith that lasts? How can parents intentionally create teaching moments to help their kids learn the heart of God for their lives? What responsibility does the church have in all this? This class won’t take the challenge out of parenthood – kids will still do some interesting things. But it will help you understand why your parenting is so crucial, how to connect with your kids, encouraging them to connect with God in a vibrant faith that is passed from one generation to another.
