Announcements for Sunday, April 30

Sunday, May 20 – A DAY OF OUTREACH!

West Side’s commitment to our local community and the world will be on display on this very special day.

Here are the events:

Fellowship Meal / Outreach Ministry Displays – After worship (11:30am), come to Howell Auditorium for a meal and to meet representatives from our various outreach ministries (local and beyond) who can answer your questions and give you ideas on how you might serve.

Evening Service – At 5:00pm in the Sanctuary, we are holding our first evening service! Many in our community can’t attend Sunday morning services. Others are looking for a different worship format but still true Biblical teaching. West Side’s service is designed with them in mind. Ushers, greeters, readers, worship team members and help in the nursery (we are hoping for many young families to attend) are still needed. Email If you can lend a hand.

Welcome to Kim Herbert who grew up in eastern Michigan enjoying running, fishing, and building bonfires with friends and family. He received his BS degree from Grand Valley State University, where he studied Religion, Culture, and Psychology, and went on to serve as a Senior High Youth Pastor on the staff of Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 2012 Kim moved to Seattle to attend Fuller Theological Seminary and will receive his MDiv in 2019. In Seattle, Kim has served as Director of Kids and Youth at Sand Point Community UMC. Kim and his wife, Gabi, both avid readers, enjoy hiking, backpacking, the Seattle Sounders, and evenings with friends and great food. Please welcome him!

The Book of Romans – Paul’s letter to Roman Christians offers us some of the best theology in the Bible coupled with practical application of the Gospel to our hearts, relationships, social involvement and work.
