New Small Group: Wilderness Adventures – Ron Rice is leading this adventurous new group and starts Saturday, September 8 with the Tolmie Peak Lookout hike, one of his favorites, in Mt. Rainier National Park. Glory and prayer will be given to God while passing through some of His most beautiful natural creations. The hike begins at Mowich Lake, the largest and deepest lake in Mount Rainier National Park. At 3 miles, this moderate walk leads to beautiful alpine meadows that surround Lake Eunice, a clear alpine lake. Continue on and climb the steep ascent to an old fire lookout, Tolmie Peak, with breath taking views. Details: 6.4 miles round trip, and 1100 ft. elevation gain. Bring food, plenty of water and sturdy shoes. Carpools leave from church. Weather permitting. Contact Ron (206-932-6129, firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested.
