The pain of losing a parent to incarceration can impact a young person for life. Help bless such a child by providing a gift at Christmas, a time when missing that parent is even more palpable. Get the name of a child at the Angel Tree table by the Welcome Center. Contact Lisa West to help wrap or distribute gifts.

December Women’s Circles

Nativity Sets

Women of Hope

Beautiful aprons, dolls, table runners and other items made by Nigerian widows affected by HIV/AIDS will be on sale today and December 9 and 16. Ron Rice brings these items back from the Mashiah Foundation, a Christian ministry that provides support for these young widows and their children.

Sunday Adult Education, 9:00am

Today – Malachi: All To Him I Owe, facilitated by Josh Kutz. We have been chosen and given the privilege of being counted among God’s people, yet our lives don’t always reflect this great gift. All too often, we fall short and fail to meet our half of the bargain. Join us for a deep dive into the book of Malachi, a prophet who will challenge and convict us in our worship, our service, and our giving.

December 9 – Ron and Sharon Rice will show the highlights of their latest trip to Nigeria including wheelchair distributions, an Emir’s palace with Ron in his chief’s turban and robe, a visit to the deaf school, giving white canes to blind students and university students competing in a tribal dance contest.

December 16 – Bible Trivia! Come with your own team or join one that morning for a rousing game naming Biblical whodunnits, places, and events.

December 23 – Christmas Caroling led by Sid Hoagland

December 30 – Christian Mindfulness. Dave Pimblett leads us to understand how being mindful – noticing, thinking, and feeling in present time – is fundamental to a quality walk with God.

Wednesdays, 11/7–12/19, 6:30–8:00pm

The Road Back To You – What you don’t know about yourself can hurt you, your relationships and your walk with God. Explore the Enneagram, a model of the nine predominant personality types. Order your book, The Road Back To You, online through Amazon ($23.58). NO meeting December 5.

Sunday School for 3 Year Old–5th Grade meets at 9:00am. An usher can point you towards the stairs to the lower level and where there are signs (and people) to help your child find the appropriate classroom.
