Sermon Series: First Impressions
Seeing Jesus for the first time again…Epiphany is the perfect season to discover Jesus through others’ encounters. Last week, Philip’s invitation to Nathaniel to “come and see” the messiah resulted in Nathaniel recognizing Jesus as more than the king of Israel they sought but truly the Son of God. Today we see Jesus through the eyes of Zacchaeus, the tax collector.
January 13 – “House: Jesus meets Zacchaeus” – Luke 19:1-10
January 20 – “Skin: A Samaritan Meets Jesus” – Luke 17: 11-19

Garage Sale Help Needed Donation Drop-Off Info
Volunteers are needed to sort our donated treasures. Work hours are flexible: Join us beginning January 22, anytime Tuesday and Wednesday between 9am and 12pm.
Donation Drop-Off begins January 20: Sunday curbside drop-off
3–5pm for smaller sized items (no furniture at this time, please). Drive up to the clearly marked area on California Ave SW and our youth will offload your things. (NO drop-off on February 3.) On Tuesdays and Wednesdays you may also bring your donations to Howell Auditorium from 9am–8pm.
Please no paint, drapes, tires, mattresses, hide-a-beds. Contact Karol before dropping off TV’s, computers, monitors, exercise equipment, or large appliances. Thank you for contributing!

Souper Bowl of Caring Donations
Our Confirmation class is once again joining this national movement to combat hunger and poverty by collecting donations of food items on January 20 and 27 and organizing them into meal kits for foster kids and their families. Lectio Divina Class Summary
Last Sunday’s 9am class contemplated the story of Samuel and Eli (1 Samuel 3) using the ancient Christian discipline of divine/sacred reading (lectio divina). Information about the approach and instructions for the 4 readings of the scripture done in this practice are in the Welcome Center and on https://wspc.org/adult-classes/.
