Heidi has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University and a Master’s degree in Pharmacology from the University of Washington. While at SPU, she completed additional coursework in Medical Family Therapy, a field that integrates family therapy with medical care to more holistically support families managing serious medical conditions or disabilities.
Heidi lives in the Highland Park neighborhood of West Seattle with her husband and son. As a child, Heidi was raised in the Lutheran church and throughout her youth witnessed family members dedicate their time in service of the church and congregation, her mother as youth director and grandmother on the alter guild. Heidi currently attends Peace Lutheran Church and has come to view her therapeutic work as a faithful response to God’s redemptive grace. She finds great joy in watching her son grow in relationship with God, in socializing with family and friends, listening to live music, reading, and cooking with food picked from the garden.
