Sunday Morning Seminar: Faith Journeys in the Torah

Join us this Sunday, September 27 at 9:00am, for a Zoom Adult Education Seminar exploring the landscape of our October BIG Story Series – Faith Journeys. Watch the 90 second sneak peek preview video with Elder Craig Chamberlain who will be giving us an overview of the 5 Old Testament books featured in our October BIG Story (the Torah) plus a few short history books thrown in for good measure (Joshua, Judges and Ruth). This is especially helpful if you are leading or interested in joining a Connection Group in October.

The Zoom link is in this week's Worship Notes or you can get it by emailing [email protected].

Re-Opening for Prayer Services

“My house shall be a house of prayer for all peoples…” Isaiah 56:7

Daily prayer services (beginning September 15):
Tuesdays and Thursdays – 8:00am
Wednesday Evening – 6:30pm
Friday Midday - 12:00pm

These brief prayer services will follow the Daily Office prayers that the PC(USA) worship office provides (download the App here). Each day reflective music will begin a few minutes before the prayers start. The prayers begin with readings from the Psalms and the Old and New Testaments, leave time for personal prayers of Thanksgiving and Intercession, and end with a blessing. There will be time and space for quiet reflection, usually with music, after each service as well.

Join us from wherever you are! This app has the readings and order of service each day:

What Pandemic Precautions are we taking?

  • Doors will open 10 minutes before the service
  • All participants will be screened for fever and provided a mask if one was forgotten
  • We enter and exit on a one way system (enter in the center – exit by the aisles)
  • We will sit with any family members, with places in the pews marked for safe physical distancing between family groups / individuals
  • For the majority of the service there is only one person speaking – the leader
  • Handouts will be in the pews
  • There will be cards attached to the back of pews for participants to sign in so that we know where to focus our sanitizing work following the end of the service. Please leave the pens behind for sanitizing as well.
  • Please remember to wear your mask at all times on church premises and to speak loudly to one another from 6 feet away!
