Tithing and Donations to WSPC
West Side PC is a faith based non-profit organization, which means that even though we spend a significant amount of time discerning God’s will for our church and how He would like us to spread his ministry in West Seattle, it is how the Lord leads you to donate your money that allows West Side to do more locally and throughout the world. The most common way to give is still to come on Sunday and use the donation envelopes provided to put your tithes and offerings into the donation plates. We realize that you can’t always make it or you don’t always have your donation handy when you are here. To that end, here are alternative methods to give to WSPC.
Fellowship with us on Sunday
West Side’s mission is to make disciples of Christ. Please come join us on Sunday as we worship and fellowship together!
Personal Online Banking
Personal Online Banking is a common way of giving via your checking or savings account. Simply log onto your bank’s website to access your personal account, and follow their instructions for adding West Side Presbyterian Church as a new payee. You can set up as a one-time gift or recurring gift. Enter your donation amount and add your donation number (from your membership giving envelopes), and your bank will send West Side a check. Our payee information is as follows:
West Side Presbyterian Church
3601 California Ave SW
Seattle, WA 98116
There is no surcharge to you or West Side, so 100% of the money you intend to give to WSPC will go to our ministry efforts.
At this time we are looking into a new online giving portal. We hope to have this available by the end of the year.
If you would like to give electronically, we recommend sending an eCheck through your bank (see above).
If you have stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, or other assets that you would like to donate to West Side Presbyterian Church, please contact our church office.
How Are Funds Designated for Ministry?
West Side has a Funding Guide which is reviewed and revised with inputs from the congregation, approved by Session and reviewed at the Congregational Meeting every January. This Funding Guide defines how West Side takes your donations and uses them to further the ministries that God has called us to focus on. This Funding Guide will drive how your charitable donations are spent. Copies of the Funding Guide are available through the church office.
If you have additional questions concerning giving or donations, please call the West Side’s office at 206-935-4477 or contact us at: email@example.com.[whohit]giveToWSPC[/whohit]
