Christmas Eve | Carols by Candlelight

While we won’t be gathering indoors for worship this year, we still celebrate the birth of our Savior. Join us at 5:00, 6:00 or 7:00pm on Christmas Eve as we gather outside around the cherry tree for carols and a Christmas blessing from Pastor Laurie. We will provide candles to hold while we sing. Masks are required.

Here are some Full Christmas Eve LiveStream services with local Presbyterian churches:
University Presbyterian Church – 4:45pm and 6:45pm
Bellevue Presbyterian Church – 3pm, 7pm, 9pm and 11pm

Orchestra Seattle Seattle Chamber Singers | Handel's Messiah

While we wish we could bring you Handel’s Messiah live and in person, a tradition that has become so important to so many of you, we are nevertheless proud to present this beloved holiday masterpiece by harnessing one of OSSCS’s great assets: our archive of recorded concerts.

This particular performance from 2007 (when OSSCS produced a series of television broadcasts in collaboration with SCCTV) features soprano Catherine Haight, mezzo-soprano Melissa Plagemann, tenor Stephen Wall and baritone Brian Box. It is conducted by the maestro himself, the late, great George Shangrow, who also offers insights into this music that he knew so well.

We’ll present this concert on our YouTube channel on Saturday, December 12 at 2:30 pm PST. If you can’t make it at that time, rest assured that the performance will remain online — free of charge — for the remainder of December.
