Kids Alive International
Kids Alive began ministering to children and youth in the Dominican Republic in 1989. Today, the growing campus serves over 2,000 children daily via seven schools, three residential sites, and an Independence Program for young adults. These ten program sites are spread across five cities including Jarabacoa, Constanza, Caraballo, Santo Domingo and Monte Plata.
KAI’s seven schools serve children from preschool through middle school and, in some cases, up to high school. The schools’ holistic approach includes high-quality education, nutritious meals, and emotional and spiritual care to ensure children have a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive. When possible, care includes outreach to the children’s families.
During the summer of 2022, Kids Alive reached an agreement with the government to become the sole elementary school in Caraballo. This blessing has brought growing pains as they are still trying to figure out how to accommodate all these new students. Your gift helped to fund the purchase of an additional school building.
